"Sascha Illyvich breaks new ground with Endangered, the first book in his new paranormal series Nights of Lust. The novel begins with a riveting opening hook, “Wind carried the scent of blood and fear toward her nose,” and promises a fast-pace and sensory-detail rich descriptions. Illyvich clearly delivers in this titillating erotic thriller." - Louisa Bacio - Erotic Romance Author

"Sascha Ilyitch's erotic tale twisted itself around my heart and insisted I care about its vampires and werewolves. I stayed up all night and can't wait for the next volume. Bravo!"

"This book is an amazing and unique journey into a world where vampires are out in the open, running the mob and drug trade and giving a whole new meaning to customers for life! Livia, the Queen of the night, and her longtime lover, Isabelle, have been together for a very long time. They were peasants in Hungary when the Turks invaded and have been together ever since. They are strongly opposed to the drug trade and are fierce adversaries of the present regime.

There is a myth among the vampires that there is that one person out there that is the key to their salvation and from the moment Josef Staganov is born Livia knows that he is the one for her. She spends most of his life watching over him. She is so incredibly impressed by his strong sense of right and wrong and his continual search for justice. She decides it is time to make her presence known and claim him when he takes one too many risks with his life. He has become addicted to a new super powerful strand of heroine while undercover on a mission of his own and she is drawn to help even though her love, Izzy, is strongly opposed to bringing him into their family. Josef carries a secret that he is not aware of and he will need Livia's love and Izzy's strength to make it to the other side!

Sascha Illyvich gives an intense and thoroughly enthralling look at the seedy dark ugly side of the vampire run drug trade and the horrific violence that results when a mob boss that is also an ancient vampire must be overthrown! He pays incredible attention to detail and builds a plot that is a white knuckle page turner that will leave you breathing hard and praying that our heroes can pull their butts out the fire one more time. All of the violence is perfectly balanced with the incredible love story that builds between Josef and Livia and the look into a lifetime of love that has been shared by Livia and Izzy. To say that their love is explosive, all-encompassing and STEAMY is only touching the surface." Julia Mills

"Five Paws or Fangs or whaever!  I am completely hooked by Sascha Illyvich! Thank you for introducing me to your supernatural world, I await more with baited breath! "

In every romance I have ever read there is always a black moment, usually it's in the middle or close to the end of a book.  In Endangered the black moment is at the beginning.  Which makes this story different.   Different in a way that makes you not like the hero, Josef, at first.  But as we get to know him we realize he needs us to like him, he discovers things about himself he never knew, things no one ever told him, things he has had to discover on his own or be told.  And in all romances our Hero’s and Heroine’s change in some way by the end of the story.  Let’s not leave out the Heroine, Livia; she had some different motives for being with Josef.  Having watched over him since he was just a baby, she knows he is her salvation and her soul mate, the one person who can break the vampire curse.  Can she convince him and get him to help her before he discovers her secret.   But when he realizes that she is suppose to kill him for the sake of her female lover’s adopted child, he’s just a bit inclined not to help but instead wants to run.  But help he must as his feeling for Livia deepen, he begins to want to help her and Isabella get the child Miles back.

And the Syndicate that is holding Miles will they be defeated or will only the Head be chopped off?  Will the three be able to rescue Miles and will our hero and Heroine be together?  Different forces try to keep the two apart including Isabella who has a bit of a hate relationship going with Josef, so much so the two battle each other at one point.

Did I like this story, not at first.  Josef was not a very likeable Hero at the beginning.  Even though he is a cop and is sworn to serve and protect I think he became a bit jaded because of paperwork and corruption that just lets all the bad guys back on the street.

Neither was Livia a likeable Heroine, I found myself liking Isabella the best at the opening of the story.  My first impression was that the story was dark, almost too dark.  Josef has an unsavory habit that Livia helps him overcome.

While the story started out dark as Josef and Livia made their way to loving each other, the darkness faded and the light of love began to shine brightly.  I look forward to the next installment in this series.
